RULES & REGULATIONS

These rules are for the protection and benefit of all members of Papio Swim Association and their guests. We appreciate the cooperation of all members in observing the following rules. The pool manager or assistant manager shall have the authority to make decisions when safety is at question. Appeals to suspend or revoke membership privileges shall be the decision of the Board of Directors. By paying dues, you have agreed to the following rules and regulations:

MEMBERS​

• All persons entering the pool must stop at the front desk and check in prior to entering. 
• Members must register all guests. All guests, whether swimming or not, must register and pay the guest fee. Guest fees are $7.00 per person, 2 and under are free. No refunds are given for guest fees. 
• Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Failure to follow the rules and regulations by guests can result in loss of guest privileges for the member.
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a member that is 14 years or older.

BEHAVIOR​

• Papio Pool will NOT tolerate disrespect or abusive language to our pool staff, board members or other members of Papio Swim Association and their guests under ANY circumstances. 
• Anyone attempting to bring in a non-member without paying or using another member’s membership is subject to suspension or termination.
• Behavior issues may be addressed at the discretion of the pool manager/assistant manager and then brought to board attention for review if unresolved.   
• Illegal substances or weapons on the premises will result in the immediate suspension of privileges for the season. No refund of dues will be issued.
• The Papio Pool Board reserves the right to deny or revoke membership for any member who violates any of the rules or guidelines listed. These reasons which could include but is not limited to disrespecting staff or other members, rude or lewd behavior, stealing, sneaking in guests, failing to follow and adhere to lifeguards on duty, bullying, etc.…

​ATTIRE

• All diaper-age children must wear disposable briefs (Swimmers) while in the pool.
• All persons using the pool must wear proper bathing suit attire.
• No recording devices are allowed in the bathroom and changing area.
• Papio Pool is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

BREAKS​

• The pool will be cleared the last 15 minutes of each hour. Swimmers 16 and older may remain in the water.

​POOL SAFETY​

• No drinks are permitted in the water at any time. Only water is permitted at the side of the pool and must be in cups with sealed lids, including lids with collapsible straws. All other beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and food are permitted at chairs and tables only.
• Only 1 person is allowed on the diving boards at a time. Jumping or diving off the side of the board is prohibited. Only 1 bounce is allowed off the diving board.
• The diving well shall be used exclusively for diving unless designated otherwise by the pool staff.
• Use of the baby pool is restricted to children 7 years or younger and must be under direct supervision of an adult. Lifeguard protection is not provided in the baby pool. 
• The baby pool is NOT open during swim lessons/swim team practices.
•  Floatation devices and ball throwing may NOT be allowed based on water capacity. Pool staff may make that decision on an hour-to-hour basis. 
• Admission may be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, infections, inflamed eyes or persons wearing bandages.
• No smoking, chewing tobacco or vaping is allowed.

Papio Swim Association is not responsible for any accident or injury in connection with use of the pool facilities. Members and their guests swim at their own risk.

Back to School (Papillion La Vista Community Schools Calendar):

August 13 – September 7

Friday: 4pm – 9pm

Saturday: 1pm – 9pm

Sunday: 1pm – 8pm

Labor Day – September 7 – Hours: 1pm – 6pm

Papio Pool hosts 3 home swim meets per season. The pool will close at 3:45pm on those scheduled days. The swim team schedule will be posted on our website, and on social media.  

WEATHER

• The outside temperature must be 70 degrees by 12:45 pm to open the pool. The temperature will be monitored throughout the day to determine if the pool can open at a later time. 
• In the case of severe weather (thunder and or lightning), swimmers will not be allowed back in the water for 30 minutes following the last lighting or thunder event (seen or heard). 

*Failure to adhere to the above rules and regulations after more than one warning, will result in being asked to leave the premises and potential membership suspension/revocation.*
